The beach farm does not have a fireplace. By default, the house features a TV, a single bed, a picture, a table and chair, decorative dishes, and a fireplace. The Farmhouse is one of the only two forms of housing, cabins being the other. See Farm Maps For a list of the different Maps and thier benefits ![]() Each map takes up the same area, but there are different amounts of usable, farmable, and buildable land on each. These changes are only reflected on the world map, no changes are made to the actual game world outside the player's farm, based on map selection.Īfter selecting a map it cannot be changed, characters are permanently tied to their map once created. Most simply change how the farm area appears, but some change areas outside the farm (the Forest farm extends the forest to the west, toward the farm, and the Riverland map connects to a river which flows south of the desert). Each farmhouse interior begins with different basic furniture pieces, wallpaper, and flooring.Įach map slightly changes how the farm appears in the overall game map. The player's farmhouse appears the same from the outside on all maps, but begins with a uniquely styled interior for each different farm map chosen, styled after the selected map's theme. The default farm map is the Standard Farm if no other selection is made. Each of these maps offer unique benefits, and favor specific Skills. When creating a new character, players can choose from several different farm layouts (referred to as farm maps). Inherited from the player’s grandfather after quitting the player’s job at Joja Corporation, it is the player’s duty to restore the land and make use of it. Upon completing the Character Creation and the initial dialogue with Robin at the Bus Stop, this is the location the player is transported to. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life.” “You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley. When fixed the inside of the greenhouse has a large dirt field you can plant, the player must provide water to grow plants inside. There is a broken greenhouse on the farm which will become repaired once the player has completed the proper quest from the community center. There is a cave on the farm which can be upgraded by Demetrius to house fruit bats or to grow mushrooms, which is decided by the players choice. No windows are added but the player can purchase more from Robin and you can move those you have around. The second upgrade moves the fireplace into the kitchen and adds a hallway back to two more rooms. With the first upgrade the outside of the house becomes painted and the inside becomes much larger, including a kitchen and bedroom even though the foot print of the house is the same as that of the cabin. There is a cabin on the farm for which the player can purchase two upgrades. The player is able to grow crops, raise animals, craft, and decorate the farm to their choosing. The Farm is a location that is the main feature of Stardew Valley. There's no limiter for this it seems, so just leave patches of grass here and there. The Player, their Pet, and their Spouse (optional) This'll allow the grass to grow back and it'll grow in all directions and more efficiently if there's open spaces around it. Unless it's the last day in fall, leave spots of grass here and there and don't clear everything out altogether. ^^Īlso, another suggestion for when you're harvesting hay. Three looks like it should be enough for one fully upgraded barn and one fully upgraded coop, full of animals. I usually build 3 in obscure corners of the farm's map that I'm unlikely to use, and then fill those and withdraw the hay. ![]() ![]() It'll be useful to have several silos anyway, as one silo will support a LITTLE more than a fully upgraded barn/coop it looks. This way you don't waste all that grass, and if nothing else you can SELL the excess hay for cash as well. That's why my recommendation would be to either build several silos, or build a coop at least so you can withdraw the hay from the silo at the coop (can't do this in the final upgrade for coop/barn, though). However, be warned that once the silo is full you'll stop getting hay altogether when you use the scythe on the grass. It'll automatically get stored in the silo and won't go into your inventory. You need the silo in order to harvest hay when using a scythe on grass. ![]()
